We currently have an opportunity for a Marketing Representative in our Wilmington,  MA office to market insurance risks to companies with a focus on specialty lines including;  Cyber Liability, Technology E&O, D&O, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, Miscellaneous and E&O. Work to develop and retain consultative relationships with producers, service team members and insurance company underwriters  in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company.

Specific Responsibilities

Assist in the analysis of line of business and insurance company production trends and make recommendations to correct deficiencies.

Market all lines of specialty insurance and directly impacts revenue goals through the acquisition of new business and the retention of renewals.

Act as account liaison for the producer in dealing with other departments within Hub International New England for the quoting of specialized lines of coverage.

Assist producers with pre-underwriting information gathering, coverage analysis and proposal presentations if needed.

Execute a quality control process for policies and quotations delivered assuring coverage, condition, rating and pricing accuracy.

Effectively build relationships with insurance company underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions, company visitations and hard, but fair, negotiations.

Maintain state of the art knowledge of market underwriting appetite, line of business trends, insurance company changes, rating technique and coverage development.

Demonstrate an understanding of our company utilization strategies by appropriate risk submissions.

Accurately maintain new business and renewal control logs, which assist the department head in identifying trends.

Rate, bind and propose small business cyber policies.

Create and present proposals to clients.

Assist on all marketing projects.

Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager and other members of the Specialty team.


  • Three experience in insurance marketing or underwriting.
  • Knowledge of professional and management liability lines, markets and coverage.  Experience with Specialty lines preferred.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a P&C Producer license within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage midsize accounts; effectively market risk to carriers; develop and maintain strong working relationships with producers, service team members and insurance company underwriters.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
